Size guide

Renting designer pieces means trying styles you wouldn't normally commit to buying. Use this guide to find your fit before you book, and message the lender if you need anything specific.

Size conversion

Most Australian designers list pieces in AU sizing. International labels (Self Portrait, Cult Gaia, Reformation) often use UK, US or EU. The universal size column maps to what you'll see on each item card.

The basics

How to measure

Use a soft tape measure over light clothing. Keep the tape snug but not tight, and stand naturally with your weight evenly distributed.

  • Bust

    Measure around the fullest part of your chest, keeping the tape level under your arms.

  • Waist

    Measure around the narrowest part of your natural waist (above the belly button, below the rib cage).

  • Hips

    Measure around the fullest part of your hips and bottom, keeping the tape level.

  • Inseam

    Measure from the top of your inner thigh down to your ankle. Helpful for jumpsuits and trousers.

    Tends to run true to size in dresses; size up for structured silhouettes and corsetry.

    Generally true to size. The puff-sleeve and statement pieces can fit smaller on the bust.

    Cocktail and tailored pieces often run small through the waist. Size up if between sizes.

    True to size with generous draping. Jersey pieces are forgiving across one size in either direction.

    Bridesmaid and event styles are cut slim; size up for hourglass figures or extra ease.
